Building 1854  design build renovation focused on revitalizing and reimagining existing spaces through thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship. This process involved assessing the current layout, of restrooms, common areas and conference rooms enhancing functionality, and improving while preserving the building's character and functionality of the spaces.

DESIGN BUILD

SUMMARY

Building 1458 is an existing, Multi Story, 65,000 sqft building located at Ft. Belvoir. This current facility includes  Offices, conference rooms, breakrooms, bathrooms,  reception, and related support areas. 

 

BEI provided design and build services for complete renovation of existing:

 

  • Restrooms

  • Breakrooms and

  • Common areas.

 

In order to accomplish the renovation, a thorough knowledge of the existing systems and programmatic needs was required prior to design. Construction plans were prepared to show new

 

  • Architectural finishes

  • Electrical work

  • Mechanical and Plumbing work.

 

Design was based on Army regulations, Unified Facility Criteria (UFCs), United Facility Guide

Specifications (UFGS), International Building Code (IBC), in addition to all compliance with applicable codes for DoD facilities as stated in UFC 1‐200‐01, General Building Requirements.

  • Renovation/ Repairs of Existing Facilities and Utility.

  • Handicapped Accessibility/ADA Compliance.

  • Office/Administrative Facilities.

  • Preparation of drawings and Specifications.

  • Construction & Construction Management
